Patrice Bergeron has been named the NHL's player of the month for January.
The Boston center ranked up 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) and posted a plus-13 rating in 14 games to earn the distinction. Phoenix defenseman Keith Yandle was the second star of the month after he registered 17 points as well (three goals, 14 assists) to go with a plus-9 rating in 14 contests. Pekka Rinne, of the Nashville Predators, was the third star of January after he posted eight wins, earned the best goals-against average (1.71) and finished second in save percentage (.947) in 11 of his team's 13 games.
