Victorino: 'We're the favorites to win it all'

Baseball fans can almost hear the countdown clocks ticking off the days until pitchers and catchers report for spring training, where the expectations for the Phillies are understandably soaring. "I'm not one to sit here and make predictions or make bold statements to stir the pot," outfielder Shane Victorino said, "but I think if you look on paper, we're the favorites to win it all." Many would argue that's not a bold statement at all, simply because of the pitching staff the Phillies have assembled. The rest of the team is likely set, with plenty of competition to come in spring training. I believe that the Red Sox would win a 7 game series with Philly simply because they will be battle tested in the AL East and in the playoffs where they would face off against teams like the Rangers or the Yankees/Rays.

i think also the Red Sox would win a 7 game as well. It would come down to the pitching Phillie has a great 1 2 punch on there staff but the lineup the Red Sox have is great
